Our friendly team of qualified professionals bring tailored help at home and care at home packages to nearby clients of all ages and requirements. Our clients range from elderly persons who just need some assistance keeping their house clean and daily living activities, as they possibly are experiencing reducing mobility, to younger persons who have learning difficulties or special needs.
It’s our aim to provide a high standard of care at home to ensure men and women throughout Caterham, Croydon and surrounding areas are well-looked after. We take great pride in helping elderly clients maintain their independence; entering a care home is not for everyone but sometimes getting-by unassisted is difficult. A helping hand around the house or while out and about can make a world of difference. Likewise, we help those who face everyday challenges due to disability, and enjoy fostering long-lasting relationships with those who really benefit from the companionship we can offer, which is certainly part and parcel of quality domiciliary care.
Whatever age you are, and whatever circumstances you’re dealing with, our reliable team of home care professionals can help you by offering a package of care precisely tailored to you and your family’s needs. We will visit as little or as often as you require, briefly popping in and checking up on you, helping you while out running errands, or providing full-time help at home via live-in care. It’s our hope that Gillett Care can help improve your quality of life, however that may be. If you are looking after friends or family who have recently become unwell or less abled, then we can also be of assistance, providing respite care for a period in which you can rest and recharge, or take care of other commitments in your life.
Our team is made up of three carers who each boast 15 years’ experience, led by Lucy Gillett, who has a background in learning difficulties, special needs, epilepsy and autism. Lucy has spent recent years specialising in one to one care, including nursing care to dementia and alzheimer patients and Lucy holds vast experience in palliative and end of life care for the patient and support to the patient’s family. Lucy’s nursing career has taken her through all aspects of nursing including Emergency Room and covering most sectors of both medical and surgical nursing. Lucy uses her knowledge and expertise to provide a highly professional, yet friendly and personal care at home service.
Every member of our team is DBS checked before joining, and we only recruit the best domiciliary care professionals from around Caterham and Croydon. It’s important for us to know our team can offer an exceptionally high standard of care, whoever they’re attending to. Our carer’s are recruited on the basis of their attitude, ethics and capability to understand our client’s needs, meaning they must show The 6c’s – Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage and Commitment. Some carer’s have life experience, some hold NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Health and Social Studies and some are Registered Nurses. Having a diverse team means we can always have someone on hand who specialises in the type of home care the client requires.
We provide help at home for clients within a 10 mile radius of our Caterham base, which includes bustling areas like Caterham, Warlingham, Croydon and surrounding areas.. By keeping a fairly restricted, local area of coverage we can ensure that whatever hour of the day or night our clients need us, we can be with them in just a matter of minutes.
